"Well, Randy and Nick stayed out to watch Zilla fight the bat. The rest us, Elsee, Monique, and myself, went inside. The facility inside was as alien as you'd expect a secret desert base to be. There were lights, but they had died years ago. Elsee, eager to see more, went in with no fear, checking notes and computers for tidbits of info. Monique followed her, eager to get a scientists opinion. I... was a bit preoccupied with the vast amounts of dust in that place. It was way too much for my sinuses.

Well, after a while, Elsee proposed that we split up and search different corridors. The room I first stumbled upon was one my PHD in robotics made me feel out of place in. It was like a genetics lab from an old science fiction film. Abondoned work stations, jars full of creatures from all over the world, things like that. It was... pretty creepy, I'm telling you.

Well, as you might not be able to guess, I was a lot.... weaker... back in the day," Randy didn't even try to hold back a chuckle.

"Yeah, jefe, weaker. You keep telling him that."

"I will, thank you! Well, suddenly, the whole lab shook, and I suspect it was because of the battle going on outside. I stumbled, and many of the jars fell off of the shelves, spilling their contents all over the place. Pretty disgusting stuff. Even more disgusting, though, was what happened after that. We regrouped after the tremor, and I told them what I had found. Elsee and Monique, however, looked shocked to see me. When I asked why, they told me that I had already ran into them, and that I was a little strange. I couldn't help but notice that the two of them weren't able to look me in the eye without blushing, I had to wonder what happened....

But, I told them that I had been in a preservation room, and that this was the first I've seen of them, and they seemed a little weirded out. I told Elsee she could make more sense of what was in that room, so I took her there. The room, however, looked more broken up than before. And, standing in the middle of the room, looking at it's reflection on a piece of broken glass, was..... me."

"Whoa. I'm guessing that it was some sort of DNA mimicing creature? Maybe in came in contact with you when the first tubes broke."

Randy laughed. "Yeah, more like DNA tongue kissing creature, from what Elsee told me afterwards."

He laughed hard, despite Mendels angry embarrassed face glaring hard at him.

"Well, ignoring that, the 'me thing' suddenly turned into ooze, and then reformed, as Elsee! That was enough of an excuse for us to leave as it started to shamble towards us. We opened the door, and surprise, surprise. There were DOZENS of those blob things. Monique shot at them with an odd sort of energy weapon, clearing a path for us. We ran for a good ways, but we noticed something was following us. A grey, borderline silver wave of biomass was headed right for us. We managed to get out in time, shutting the door behind us, like that did any good.

It burst out of the doors edges, seeing the sun for the first time. The battle between Zilla and the bat stopped for a moment as the two turned to look at the massive silver mass. The bat flew away, but Zilla was hit by it, practically engulfed. Nick and Randy ran up to us, asking just what happened. 'Good question' was the best answer Elsee had."

Randy butted in at this point.

"We turned around, and it seemed G man was about to be smothered by the creature, but then something freed him. The big bat came back, firing a powerful focused sonic blast at the thing, shredding it to pieces, then the G man followed with that blowtorch breath of his own, blowing that mess to silvereens. Haha."

"Oh, that's veeery clever, Randy. But, it is true. The battle over, we set out to make camp for the night. Monique said she had a few things to explain to us. We din't realize, though, that the war wasn't over.
